Nidhi was a poor, hardworking and honest girl. She used to live in a slum with her mother and four sisters. Many kids at her age were busy playing but she sold fruits after her school. She was also a very intelligent student and all the teachers liked her. One day her mother fell sick and was unable to do any work for weeks. This created problems for Nidhi as she had to feed her small sisters and they had no money. When she left for school in the morning she was thinking about how she would earn enough money to feed and treat her family. While she was walking she saw a purse on the road. When she picked it up she saw that there was a lot of money in the purse. She wanted to take it due to her problems but again she remembered the values her mother and teachers had taught her. So, she went to the nearest police station to give it. There was a woman who was reporting about her lost purse. When she saw Nidhi and the purse she immediately recognized it. She was very happy to see her purse and thanked Nidhi. By seeing nidhi's tattered clothes she instantly came to know that she was a poor girl and so she asked nidhi if she wanted any help. Nidhi replied that she did not need anything as it was her duty to return that. Touched by her kindness the woman decided to provide monetary help to nidhi's family. After that she lived a very happy and comfortable life with her family and studied hard to be a lawyer in the future.
