Answer:
Swaminathan was bored that morning in school. He hated coming to school every day. That day after the first break, he decided to sneak out of school and go to river Sarayu outside his village. As he approached the banks of the river, he was surprised to see a boy sitting on a boulder, crying.
‘Who are you? Why are you crying?’ asked Swaminathan.
The boy jumped up with a start.
“I am David Copperfield. And I don’t want to talk to anyone.” he said rudely.
The boys sat silently for a few minutes.
“I hate my life. I lost my mother when I was a baby and now my father.” David broke the silence.
“Oh, I am sorry. I am swami. I hate school. I have parents but they don’t understand my feelings and they force me to study. My life sucks!”
The two quickly warmed up to each other.
“Why don’t we hang out with each other every morning right here? I will have friends and you can bunk classes and spend time with me.” David blurted out excited.
Swami loved the idea and so began a great friendship between Swami and David, which lasted for many years.
