The male gametophyte develops by the following steps -

This process is termed as spermatogenesis by which the sperms are produced by the germ cells.

The first step is the multiplication of spermatogonia by mitosis into many numbers. These spermatogonia can be found on the seminiferous tublues' inner wall.

The primary spermatocytes formed then undergoes 1st meiosis which results in formation of two 2° spermatocytes.

The 2° spermatocytes then undergoes 2nd meiosis and results in production of 4 spermatids that are haploid in nature.

Lastly, by spermiogenesis, the spermatids gets converted into the male gametophyte called sperms.

Answer:

Male gametophyte also known as the pollen grains which help in the flowering in plants consists of two to three cells which are released from the anthers. It delivers twin sperms to the sac of embryo where it fuses with the egg. A germline after the meiosis, a haploid spore divides asymmetrically for the formation of a germ cell or a vegetable cell.  The generative cell male gametophyte divides into "two sperm nuclei", one of which fuses with the egg whereas the other degenerates. The diploid zygote is formed after the egg is fertilized, which separates by mitosis to create the embryo.
