Devika has a square piece of cloth of area 9 m² and she wants to make
16 square-shaped scarves of equal size out of it. What should possibly be the
length of the side of the scarf that can be made out of this piece?​

Area of the cloth piece = 9 m² = 90000 cm²

Let the side of each square piece be x. So, area = x²

Now, according to the question ,

16 × x² = 90000

x² = 90000÷16 = 5625

x = √5625 = 75 cm ( answer)
