True frost forms when the temperature is below freezing. The moisture goes straight from a gas to a solid. If the moisture goes from a gas to a liquid and then to a solid then the result will be frozen dew. You can tell the difference between frost and frozen dew by looking at them.

  • Freezing of water vapours is deposited in saturated air is called Frost and Dew are those tiny drops of water that are formed in a cool surface of earth at night.
  • Frost is mainly present in grass.
  • It happens when the temperature of surface is cooler in comparison to air.
  • The formation of Dew is happening only in calm wind. We can see it grass, leaves and also in metal surfaces.
  • The common thing is with Dew and frost is seen at night.
