Major differentiation between Eastern Coastal Plains and Western Plains are given below:

• Eastern Coast has washed away with Bay of Bengal whereas, we have Western coast has the Arabian Sea to wash it.  
• Large rivers like Narmada and Tapi make wide rivers deltas on the Eastern Coast. On other hand, we have short length rivers which do not form any delta on the western coastal plains.  
• Both Eastern and Western Coastal Plain runs from North to South but, eastern plain has broad plain and western side has mountain ridges.
