Difference between agarose gel elctrophoresis and polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis are:
- POLYACRYLAMIDE GEL ELECTROPHORESIS is a cross-linked polymer of ACRYLAMIDE while, AGAROSE GEL ELECTROPHORESIS is made up of long chain of interlinked sugar.
- POLYACRYLAMIDE GEL ELECTROPHORESIS is a potent neuro-toxic while,AGAROSE GEL ELECTROPHORESIS is non-toxic.
- Staining in POLYACRYLAMIDE GEL ELECTROPHORESIS can be done after pouring of gel while, staining in AGAROSE GEL ELECTROPHORESIS can be done before pouring of gel.
