Difference Between anaerobic and aerobic respiration

Aerobic respiration takes place in the mitochondria and requires oxygen and glucose, and produces carbon dioxide

anaerobic respiration requires oxygen therefore  there is oxygen debt in the cell, as oxygen is needed to break down the lactic acid produced.

Respiration taking place in the presence of oxygen is known as aerobic respiration .On the other side, respiration taking place in the absence of oxygen is known as anaerobic respiration.
