Distance- It is a scaler quantity .
* The actual length by a moving body or object is called distance
*Distance never negative.
Displacement- It is a vector quantity.
*The shortest distance by a moving body or object between the actual and final point is called displacement.
* Displacement may be negative , positive and zero .

Hello!!
DISTANCE :
》Distance is a scalar quantity.
》Distance has only magnitude.
》It measures the actual ground covered.
》Distance can only be positive.
DISPLACEMENT :
》Displacement is a vector quantity.
》Displacement is measured with reference to a specific point.
》It is therefore also the shortest distance between two points
》If the displacement vector is away from the reference point, it is often defined as positive and if toward it is defined as negative.
Hope it helps..!!
