Difference between drilling and quarrying.pls answer.

Quarrying - Extract (stone or other materials) from a quarry. 
Cut into (rock or ground) to obtain stone or other materials...

A quarry is the same thing as an open-pit minefrom which minerals are extracted. The only trivial difference between the two is that open-pit mines that produce building materials and dimension stone are commonly referred to as quarries."
