Answer: In 1965, almost 31 million acres of Minnesota land was used for farming. Today, about 26 million Minnesota acres are dedicated to farming. Of that, about 30 percent is planted in corn.

In 1965, Minnesota corn farmers harvested approximately 261 million bushels, averaging 61 bushels per acre. In 2015, USDA projects Minnesota corn farmers to harvest a record 1.4 billion bushels and average 183 bushels per acre.

You can write about how now we have tractors , threshers , harvesters and sprinkler irrigation system.

Whereas, in the olden days ploughing was done by bulls, harvesting was done by hand and there were no pesticides and hyv seeds and all so the yeild was less.

And you can also write about how the food used to be fresher and healthier because no pesticides were used .

Hope this helps you!!
