Non-grass grazing. Although grazing is typically associated with mammals feeding on grasslands, or more specifically livestock in a pasture, ecologists sometimes use the word in a broader sense, to include any organism that feeds on any other species without ending the life of the prey organism.

Answer:

Effect of filter feeders on boundary layer and bed shear stress ... The quantity of food energy consumed per unit energy invested in feeding is then calculated by difference.
