Difference between HAZARD and VULNERABILITY:
- HAZARD:
Hazard is defined as the source of some negative incident, which has happened, or is going to happen shortly to some occurrence.
Example: While Speaking of floods,
Hazard, is the rain over the area where flood is going to happen. It is simply the cause of the danger.
- VULNERABILITY:
Vulnerability is defined as the degree of exposure to a particular area or group of people to certain hazards or danger.
For Example: Vulnerability is seen higher when the city or a mine or village is near to a lake or river or an underdeveloped drainage system etc.
