Also called heterosis.

➡Both are used synonymously in most of the cases. However, Hybrid vigour refers to increased performance in quantitaive traits.ie it is in positive direction. On the other hand, heterosis may be in either direction like decreased plant height, shorter duration etc in hybrids are also a case of heterosis.
