INC: Indian National Congress

INC is the main opposition party now in India at the center. It is part of the alliance party UPA. INC is a big national party having a history of 100 years. It was started mainly to obtain independence from the British. INC was very strong and ruled India for many decades. It has been headed mainly by Nehru Family (and descendents).  There are very few states now with INC as the ruling party.  Congress supreme command was strict and had kept power with itself.

BJP: Bharatiya Janata Party

BJP is a national party. It was formed by alliance of many parties and organizations including Shiv Sena and RSS. It has a strong Hindu support. BJP came into power after the emergency duration in 1970s. It is now in power in majority of states in India. The leaders of BJP at the national level have not followed family descendancy.

The ruling methodology of both parties is different. The ideologies are different. BJP is now using social media to a great extent. BJP is using a monthly communication to the people of India. BJP made people's participation in the activities, so it seems surely.  Many congress leaders are accused of corruption, as compared to BJP leaders.  One thing is clear that INC is in danger and BJP seems to be on the rise. So it seems today.
