Sounds can be described in two ways, by their frequency (or pitch), and by their intensity (or loudness). Frequency (the number of vibrations or sound waves per second) is measured in Hertz (Hz). A soundthat is 4,000 Hz (like the sound the letter "F" makes) has 4,000 waves per second.

Answer:

Intensity: It is defined as the amount of energy of vibration. It is measured in decibels(dB). It depends upon the amplitude, density, distance, etc.

Frequency: It is defined as the number of vibrations per second. It is measured in Hertz(Hz). It depends upon the period, length, area of cross-section of the string, etc.
