difference between like and love

like is when you begin to start ..you know liking the object.
love is when you have passed the stage of like and moved to a greater liking - like you love your parents and like your nail polish.

Liking is the stage when you are assessing what benefits you can get from him e.g. Looks, wealth, security, guidance, companionship etc.
Loving is the stage when you decide and commit to give him all the benefits you would expect from liking him regardless of any benefits in return.
If it hurts then it's love. If it doesn't then it's like.
