Difference between Monohybrid and Dihybrid cross.

i.) Cross involving a single pair of contrasting characters is called Monohybrid cross.

ii.) F1 plants of Monohybrid cross produce two types of gametes.

iii.) Monohybrid Cross has a phenotypic ratio of 3:1 in F2 generation.

⭐ Dihybrid Cross

i.) Cross involving two pairs of contrasting characters is called Dihybrid Cross.

ii.) F1 plants of Dihybrid produce four types of gametes.

iii.) Dihybrid Cross has a phenotypic ratio of 9:3:3:1 in F2 generation.

Here is yr answer.

Monohybrid cross

(: Mono means one and hybrid improved character)

Then it is a cross of one pair of contrasting trait

Has phenotype of 3:1

Dihybrid cross (Di ....means two .....hybrid means an improved trait)

Then dihybrid is consist of two pairs of contrasting traits .

Has usually phenotype of 9:3:3:1
