"Reabsorption of useful product takes place in the first part of nephron. It is known as proximal convoluted tubule.
Proximal convoluted tubule not only reabsorbs water but also some useful substances which may have escaped from the blood at the glomerulus.
There are more than a million nephrons in the kidneys. Nephrons are made of blood vessels and renal tubules which help them in removing water from the body and maintaining water balance too within it.

Reabsorption of useful products take place in the the 1st part of nephron.
- This part of nephron is also known as the Proximal Convoluted Tubule.
- Proximal Convoluted Tubule is a convoluted part of the nephron located in the cortex and lined by simple cuboidal epithelium.
- Majority of the the filtrate undergoes tubular reabsorption from this part of the nephron.
- For example : 60-70% of water is absorbed, almost all of the inorganic ions like Chloride Bicarbonate, Sodium, Potassium undergo absorption from this part.
- Even 100% of glucose present in the filtrate it is absorbed back into the bloodstream.
Hope It Helps.
