              Difference between Normal and Reverse fault

A fault relates to a rock motion displacement of a portion of the earth.  

Some of the distinctions between a normal fault and a reverse fault are as follows;  

  • Tensional forces cause a normal fault while compression forces cause a reverse fault.
  • The up throw move away from down throw in normal fault but it is move over don in reverse fault.
  • In ordinary circumstances, part of the fault is subjected to escarpment while the aircraft is not subjected in inverse circumstances.
