Difference between propulsion and retropulsion:
Both represents movement of food from stomach and to stomach.
Propulsion:
- The method of movement of food from stomach into the pylorus is called as propulsion.
- It is a positive reaction.
- It doesn’t cause any harm to the digestion process.
Retropulsion:
- The method of movement of food from the pylorus to stomach is called as retropulsion.
- It is a negative reaction.
- It causes severe problem called as acidity.
