BILATERAL SYMMETRY
Bilateral symmetry is symmetrical arrangement along a line or bisected by a plane such that the parts on either side of the line/plane are mirror images of each other.
Think of folding a butterfly along a line represented by his body. His wings demonstrate bilateral symmetry.
RADIAL SYMMETRY
Radial symmetry is symmetrical arrangement around a central axis. A good example is a daisy. The petals are arranged symmetrically around the center of the flower. An item that exhibits radial symmetry can also exhibit bilateral symmetry
