Reflection --

1) It is the bouncing back of light parallel or non-parallel to incident ray.
2) It occurs in the same medium.

Refraction --

1) It is the bending of light rays.
2) It occurs in 2 media i.e when light travels from one medium to another.

Hope This Helps You!

reflection :
when light ray hits a surface it bounces back -this is reflection.
it happens on rough surface and a smooth surface but only one medium.
a reflection in a rough surface reflects light in a non-uniform manner in many directions but the opposite happens in a  smooth surface.

refraction:
when light  changes it direction slightly when it moves from one medium to another is called refraction.

hope it helps!!!
