Rheumatoid arthritis is an auto immune disease that is quite prolonged and affects joints primarily resulting in warm, swollen and painful joints. Most commonly wrists and hands are involved. It is believed to be cause because of both genetic and environmental conditions. Whereas Osteoarthritis is a joint disease that results from breakdown of joint cartilage and underlying bone. Here, other than typical arthritis joints are mostly affected. Causes include joint injury, abnormal joint or limb development or inherited factors.
