in series circuit, appliances are connected in series and all have a same switch. And in parallel circuit, appliances are connected in parallel and each have different switches.

When more than one bulb are to be connected in series , the positive terminal of first bulb is connected to negative terminal of second bulb.

Parallel Circuit:

When more than one bulb are to be connected in parallel Circuit , all the positive terminals are connected together . Similarly , all the negative terminals are connected.

  • It has many paths.
  • In this connection , if one bulb fuses then other bulbs will glow .
  • All the houses are contained parallel Circuit because if one electric appliance stops working , then other appliances work .
