Tectonic forces are those originating beneath the surface that alter the surface of the earth as a result of tectonic plate movement .  Gradational forces means weathering and erosion by wind, water and ice. These forces change or modify those land forms made by tectonic forces.

  • Tectonic forces are subsurface forces that cause tectonic plate movement to change the earth's surface.
  • Weathering and erosion by wind, water, and ice are called gradational forces.
  • These forces alter or modify tectonic landforms.
  • Exogenetic factors on the earth's surface, such as weathering and erosion, are responsible for gradational denudation.
  • Warping, folding, faulting, and volcanic activity are all geological processes that bend, deform, and split the Earth's crust.
