Striated muscles

✴They are attached to the bones of limbs and ribs ; since they are attached to the skeleton , they are also known as skeletal muscles.

✴They are cylindrical in shape.

✴They have light and dark stripes

✴They are multinucleate

✴They are under our control and are therefore called Voluntary muscles.

Unstriated muscles

✴They are found in the alimentary canal, blood vessels and urinary bladder. They are also called smooth muscles.

✴They are spindle shaped .

✴They have no stripes

✴They are uninucleate.

✴They are not under our control and therefore called involuntary muscles

Cardiac Muscles

✴They are present in the heart.

✴They are cylindrical but branced.

✴They have light and dark stripes

✴They are multinucleate.
