Here is the answer :-

Let the angles be x and y .

As we know, that the sum of the complementary angle is 90° .

Then,

X + Y = 90°. - 1

X - Y = 40° (according to the question). - 2

The angles are :-

X + X = 90° + 40° (by adding 1 & 2)

2x = 130°

x = 65°

The value of X is 65° . Thus , value of Y:-

65° + Y = 90°

Y = 25°

The angles are 65° and 25°.
