movement is the distance covered by the body and locomotion is the movement of parts of the body but not the whole body

in movement whole body places important role whereas in locomotion body parts play important role

Locomotion occurs when a body changes it's position from one place to another.
Movement is the change in the shape,direction,,etc of a body parts.
Animals shows both but plants show only movement.
