WESTERN GHATS:-
1) THEY LIE ALONG THE ARABIAN SEA.
2) AVERAGE HEIGHT IS 900-1000 METRES.
3) THESE GHATS ARE CONTINUOUSLY AND CAN BE CROSSED THROUGH PASSES ONLY.

EASTERN GHATS:-
1) THEY LIE ALONG THE BAY OF BENGAL.
2) AVERAGE HEIGHT IS 600 METRES.
3)THESE GHATS HAS BEEN DIVIDED INTO SEVERAL PARTS BY LARGE RIVERS.
