Most fungi live in either soil or dead matter, and many are symbionts of plants, animals, or other fungi. Fungi, along with bacteria that are found in soil, are the primary decomposers of organic matter in terrestrial ecosystems. The decomposition of dead organisms returns nutrients to the soil and to the environment.they grow where they find convenient environment, moisture warmth where they can reproduce and get nutrition.
