  • Dialysis is a treatment of filtering and purifying the blood. It is a process for people whose kidneys are not functioning properly.
  • The dialyzing unit has a coiled cellophane tube that is surrounded by a dialyzing fluid that has a  similar composition as plasma but lacks nitrogenous waste.
  • The cellophane membrane is porous and allows the movement of molecules based o the concentration gradient. As the dialyzing fluid lacks nitrogenous waste, these substances freely move out from the cellophane membrane.
  • A fluid transported in xylem cells either vessel elements or tracheids or phloem sieve tube elements of a plant is called sap. The sap helps to transport water and nutrients properly throughout the plant body.
