In The aerobic respiration , nutrients are oxidised to produce energy in the presence of O2 but in Anaerobic respiration, they are oxidised in the absence of O2 .
The realese of ATP is common in both.

•See the attached Image ^_^

1 = Aerobic respiration

2 = Anaerobic respiration

______________________________________________________________

★Respiration that is occurs in the presence of oxygen is called Aerobic Respiration.

★During this respiration glucose is completely oxidised into carbon dioxide and water and a large amount of energy is released.

★Respiration that is occurs only in the absence of oxygen is called Anaerobic respiration.

★It occurs in some bacteria which can live without oxygen.

★The energy released during this process is much less as compared to the energy produced during aerobic respiration.

★ATP are produced both in aerobic and anaerobic respiration.

★Anaerobic respiration takes place in the cytoplasm and mitochondria.

★Anaerobic respiration takes place in the cytoplasm.
