Diploblastic animal are those in which body have two germ layers, i.e., an external ectoderm and an internal endoderm.

for eg. coelenterates.

triploblastic animals are those in which body have three germ layers, i.e., ectoderm, endoderm and mesoderm in between.

for eg. chordates
