Hii..
-Dicotyledonous plants have 2 cotyledons.in their embryo...
-These have reticulate venation in their leaves..
-The flowers are in multiples of 4 or 5..
eg-pea,sunflower..

-Monocotyledonous plants have only 1 cotyledon in their embryo..
-They have parallel venation in leaves..
-Their folwers r in a multiple of 3.
eg-orchid,lily...

MONOCOTYLEDONS

* They have single cotyledon in their seeds.
*have parallel venation in their leaves.
*have fibrous root system.
*have trimerous flowers.
*no secondary growth occurs.
Examples are :- lily,coconut,wheat, maize, rice, grass, bamboo.

DICOTYLEDONS

*Seeds possess two cotyledons.
*leaves show reticulate venation.
*have taproot system.
*have pentamerous flowers.
*occurrence of secondary growth.
Examples:- mustard, pea,green gram,mango ,rose etc.
