SIMPLE DISTILLATION : the process of simple distillation can separate two miscible liquids having sufficient difference in their boiling point.
simple distillation is done by using an air or water condenser. E.g. a mixture of water and alcohol.
FRACTIONAL DISTILLATION : Fractional distillation can separate a mixture of two or more miscible liquids for which the difference in their boiling point is less than 25 K .
In Fractional distillation, a fractionating column is fitted between the distillation flask and the condenser.E.g. separation of different factions of petroleum.
