(1) the hills not continuous and almost disappear between Godavari and Krishna rivers

(2)Udagamandalam, a hill station, lies at the foot of Doda Beta in the Nilgiris.

(3) Mahendra giri is the highest peak in the northern part and Nallamalai range is most prominent in the southern part

WESTERN GHATS:

(1)they run almost continuously  (check this point)

(2) Kodaikanal,a hill station, is located on the Southern edge of Palani hills

(3) Anai Mudi is the highest peak
