Gram positive bacterias are those who take violet colour on gram's stain due to their thick polysaccharide layer in the cell wall. Where Gram negative doesn't have thick layer so it takes pink colour .

1.G+ve bacteria remain colored with gram staining even after washing with alcohol or acetone whereas G-ve bacteria loss color after washing with alcohol or acetone.
2.In G+ve bacteria outer membrane is absent whereas in G-ve bacteria outer membrane is present.
3.Cell wall of G+ve bacteria is 20 to 30 nm thick, whereas in G-ve bacteria, cell wall is 8 to 12 nm thick.
4.In G+ve bacteria cell wall contains teichoic acids whereas in G-ve bacteria, cell wall doesn't contain teichoic acids.
