convex mirror - they are thicker in outside and thinned in inside
concave mirror - they are thinner in outside and thicker in inside

convex mirror - they are used in dental clinics
concave mirrors - they are used as rear view mirrors in cars

Please search in net if I have written wrong (like concave mirror defination is of convex mirror defination) or like upside down answer

1)Concave mirrors form real and inverted images. The object in the image formed by the concave mirror looks bigger than the original size of the object.
2)Convex mirrors form virtual and erect images.
The images formed by the convex mirrors are diminished in nature.
