RER transports the protein synthesis by ribosomes.

the difference between rough and smooth endoplasmic is that on RER I.e rough endoplasmic reticulum ribosomes are attached RER synthesis protein because of ribosomes on the other hand SER I.e smooth endoplasmic reticulum do not have any ribosomes so the synthesis lipids
