  • It in the method in which the children are taught discipline through strict actions like scolding and sometimes beating also.
  • It is very effective as the children often fear the consequence of behaving in an indisciplined manner, which will result in the child getting scolded or beaten up.

Affection oriented:

  • It is the method in which the children are taught discipline through love or by making them realise their mistakes by pointing out their mistakes in a friendly or affectionate manner.
  • It is not as effective as Power oriented because the in this form of approach, the child is not scared of anything and can take the friendliness of the person for granted, and can be indisciplined.

•Parenting should be done in an authoritative way so that children don't take anything for granted .

•Parents should teach good manners like to respect elders and siblings .

•Parents should teach their children to have discipline in whatever they do .

•Parents should guide their children in the right way and encourage them to follow their own goals.

•Parents should also correct a child's smallest mistake from childhood so that it helps the child to be a better individual later.
