other ailments whichmay last for a long time,even as much as a lifetime,are called chronic diseases.

Acute disease :-

An acute disease is one which comes rapidly and can be dangerous.

It cover very soon, not have enough time to cause major effects on general health.

Example :- Common cold, strep throat etc.

Chronic disease :-

A chronic disease is one that last for a longer period of time.

It is treated in a long time and causes prolonged general poor health.

Example :- Elephatiasis, Cancer etc.
