Eton is among ten public schools in England. It is a boys' boarding school which was established in 1440. Sports forms a major part of the curriculum and there is an extensive network of playing fields. The annual cricket match against Harrow, another famous public school, at the Lord's Cricket Ground, being played since 1805, is a prominent feature of the school calendar as it draws spectators of a sizeable number from across all sections of society. Because of all these reasons Eton has been linked to cricket in a big way by the English.
