Some coniferous trees are also deciduous. Some, such as larch and tamarack (Larix spp.), have needles and cones but also lose their leaves in the fall. These treestypically grow wild in U.S. Department of Agriculture plant hardiness zones 2 through 6.

coniferous forests have soft wood trees.where as decidious have both soft and hard wood trees. decidious Forrest s are seen large parts of India.
decidious Forrest is quite dense but not as evergreen forests.
but coniferous forests are not so dense compared to decidious Forrest.
