Prawns belong to class Crustaea of phylum Arthropoda. It is an invertebrate.  It is marine and resembles a large shrimp. The prawns are highly valued for their eating qualities.  It describes a species of shellfish that is part of the lobster family. Prawns have very small claws and bodies shaped like tiny Maine lobsters.
