a seed is a small embroynic plant enclised in a covering called the seed coat, usually with some stored food it is the product of the ripened ovoule of gimnosperm and angiosperm plants which occurs after fertilisation and some growth within the mother plant
an embroy is a multicellular diploid eukaryote in its earliest stage of development from the time of first cell division until the birth hatching ir germination. in humans it is called embroy until about eight weeks after fertilasation
