Subject: Congestion and Jams Caused by Feeding Stray Animals/Birds

Sir:

I am writing to your esteemed self to bring your attention towards the traffic congestion caused by people’s feeding stray animals and birds at Akshar Dham and Neelam Mata Mandir crossings. As people begin feeding animals, especially near festivals, huge traffic jams are caused by the people as well as the animals thronging near these places.

These jams are causing a huge loss to the national resources. Not only time is wasted, fuel worth millions of rupees also gets wasted. People going to work, schools, colleges, hospitals, airport, railway stations get late, at times resulting in missing the train or flight.

I on behalf of all the people of east Delhi appeal to you to look into the matter and take action against it. Feeding stray animals should be banned at these places. The stray animals should be sent to animal care centers such as Gaooshalas. I hope you will relieve the commuters of this problem promptly. Thanking you.

Yours truly,

Garima
