Definitation: A number, which cannot be expressed in the form: p/q ; p,q being q is not equal to 0 is called an irrational number.

The number, which can neither be expressed as a terminating decimal nor a repeating, is called an irrational number.

Irrational Number:

An irrational number is that number which can't be expressed in the form p/q where q ∞ 0.

Or An irrational number is a number which can't be expressed in a ratio of two integers.

For example √3 , √2 ..etc.
