1. The length of a rectangle is 5 m less than twice of its breadth. Find the dimensions of rectangle if
its perimeter is 110 m.​

area of rectangle = length×breadth

perimeter=110

let the rectangle length be x and breadth be y

2(x-5)=x+5

let breadth=2x metre

length=2x-5 metre

As we know that perimeter of rectangle is length multiply breadth then;

perimeter=110

perimeter=length *breadth

110=2x-5*2x

110=2x-10x

110=-8x

8x=110

x=110/8

x=13.75

so,breadth=2*13.75=27.50metre

and length=2*13.75-5=27.50-5=22.50metre
