Discuss pride and prejudice as a domestic novel/social novel.

Marriage and relationships are major themes in the novel. As you read through the novel you realize that pride and prejudice become very influential in how people relate to each other and how much relationships are affected. Pride and prejudice are major obstacles in most of the relationships, as we can clearly see with Elizabeth and Darcy. Elizabeth is overcome by prejudice which affects their relationship greatly – it makes a person blind, making them have false perceptions about those around them. Pride on the other hand affects the overall understanding of an individual, making them underestimate others; this is clearly evident in Darcy. The difference is then seen when both of them overcome their weaknesses and learn to accept one another, which leads to finding happiness.

Pride and prejudice is a masterpiece written by Jane Austin. All the characters are realistic and similier to people around us.
We can say that Pride and Prejudice is a very social novel as it shows the real face of the society behind the fairness of smiles. We can see the tears and struģgles,The anguish behind the fake masks that people wear in social gatherings.Darcy is from a high status family so he wears a mask of pride to hide his real love and shows like he has. no feelings f for Elizabeth while Elizabeth's true feelings are hidden under the prejudices that take over her heart, hiding her love for Darcy.
But as we know that love conquers all, both Darcy and Elizabeth find the truth and express their love to each other and get married.
